PASTURED CHICKEN: $2.60/lb fresh, $3.15/lb at market
Our broilers are available seasonally from late May through Oct on specified days. All our poultry processing is done at the
Bright’s farm*, and that is where you will need to go to pick up your fresh chicken and turkey, between 2-4 in the afternoon
on processing days. We request that you bring your own bags for your chickens (grocery bags are quick and easy for transport
and gallon-size Ziploc freezer bags work well for freezing). Our chickens weigh an average of 4 lbs each.
PASTURED PORK: Sold by the head. Contact us for details.
We still have pork available for this spring! Pork is only sold by the whole or half and is custom-cut, vacuum-packed, and
frozen. Hogs are available twice a year, in spring and fall. An average half hog yields about 75lbs, which fills a banana
box full. Pick ups to be arranged.
PASTURED CHICKEN EGGS: $2.75/doz on farm, $3.50/doz at market
Our fresh brown eggs are available on farm, at the Harvest Moon, Greens Garage, and Blue Ridge Restaurant in Floyd, through
the Seven Springs CSA and at the Blacksburg Farmers Market, too. As always, we gladly accept all clean egg carton returns.
PASTURED TURKEYS: WHITES $2.65/lb, REDS $5.00/lb
Please order early as we hate turning people down around Thanksgiving. We cannot guarantee any specific weight for turkeys.
If you want a smaller white turkey please order for Oct, turkeys will be larger in Nov. The heritage breed Bourbon Reds will
only be available in Nov. in a limited number and will not be as large as the whites. Pick-ups will be at the Bright’s
Farm.*
PASTURE-FED RABBIT: $4.99/lb on farm, $5.55 at market
These weigh an average of 3-3.5 lbs each, and are available frozen whole year round at our farm as well as at the Blacksburg
farmers market June-Oct.
PASTURED DUCK EGGS: $4.00/doz on farm, $4.50/doz at market
If you’ve never had duck eggs before you are in for a treat. Usually a little larger and richer than chicken eggs, duck
eggs are fantastic to eat and supreme to bake with. Duck eggs will be available at the farm starting in July, and at the Blacksburg
farmers market June-Oct.
